Main Outcomes

Three pilot sets of Talking Tactile overlay course materials have been produced and evaluated covering topics from widely differing industry sectors.

These are:
- Sports Massage (available in Dutch),
- Food Hygiene & Basic Cookery Skills (Available in English),
- Basic Computer Awareness and Operation (Available in both German and English)

The course materials support people with sight loss to gain new skills or up-grade their existing skills in the work place. All the training material has been tested by a significant number of trainees and professionals. The feedback received on the effectiveness of this method for vocational training of people with sight loss was very positive.

Furthermore, the project has developed an Authoring Tool Guide developed for T3 (Talking Tactile Technology) in order to allow teachers and trainers involved in vocational training of people with sight loss to become familiar with the Talking Tactile Technology and to apply it in their training.

You need to login or register if not already a member, to see and download available outcomes.
